LESAVAGE: ELEMENTARY SCALE SYSTEM

scale exercises in all major and minor keys for daily study

Brendan Lesavage's scale system for beginning and intermediate violinists includes scale studies in all 24 major and minor keys. Every scale is written out and can be studied without leaving the first position. Two octave scales are also included for advancing students which require the use of shifting. Scale exercises include studies in arpeggios (one octave), broken thirds, chromatic scales, thirds (double stops), and octaves (double stops). This scale system is intended for use as an effective supplement for any beginning or intermediate player, compatible with any method.
